Heshima moves audiences around the world with his soulful voice, fiery bass work, and heartfelt songs and compositions. Heshima, is a dynamic Vocalist, Multi Instrumentalist, songwriter/composer, arranger, and producer who is pushing the boundaries of contemporary music. By drawing on influences ranging from Luther Vandross, and Donnie Hathaway, Marc Anthony, Luis Fonsi, Diego Torres, and Bobby Valentine, to John Coltrane, and Miles Davis, Mongo Santamaria and Tito Puente, this amazing artist displays originality, depth and passion with his unmistakable blend of Soul/Jazz/and Latin Music.

Heshima has shared the stage, and recorded with some of the greatest names in the music industry including Patti Labelle, Hi-5, Quest Love, Hip Hop Legend GURU, La India, Paoli Mejias, Arturo O'Farrill, Salim Washington, Meshell N'Degeocello, Marion Meadows, James Carter, Avery Sharpe, as well as award winning Producers Jason Miles(Miles Davis, Grover Washington, Sting)Rick Bacchus(Backstreet boys, Jessica Simpson, Alicia Keys), and Joe Ferry(Jaco Pastorius and James Taylor). In addition, Heshima has worked with the National Dance Company of Mozambique, The National Dance Company of Soweto, South Africa, and Hip Hop/Tap Dance Legend Rene Harris and his group Pure Movement.

He leads two dynamic groups of musicians: Heshima y Ofrecimiento(jazz latino/jazz, bomba/rumba) as well as Heshima and Souljourn(R & B/Pop/Pop Latino) presenting concerts, workshops and master classes nationally and international. In addition, Heshima is an inspiriting motivational speaker, motivating audiences to fulfill their potential in all areas of life and is helping educational institutions, human service organizations and municipal governments integrate the arts into everyday life as a dynamic artistic consultant.

Heshima has composed and recorded music for film and television both in the US and abroad including the award winning films, El Barrio, El Despertar(The Awakening), for the show Hollywood Heights(Nickelodeon) and for PBS. His debut album as a leader The Awakening in 2005 was received with rave reviews, for combining classic jazz sensibilities and Latin influences, with youthful fire, and originality, and boasting some of Jazz's finest voices including Avery Sharpe, and Marc Puricelli, and Tenor giant Charles Langford, featured on many of Heshima's breathtaking compositions, as well as vibrant arrangements of jazz classics. This year, Souljourn Music Group in conjunction with LC3 Media has released the highly anticipated follow up entitled Round and Round. Heshima along with one of the countries hottest producers Nick Caudle,(Track Wizards)have produced an album that is currently enjoying heavy rotation in Europe, Asia, and the United States.

NATIONAL ARTIST EXPRESSED HERSELF THROUGH HER CULTURE AND HERITAGE  BRINGING THE BEST  OF PUERTO RICO Lydia Perez, Performing Arts Lydia Perez – Born in San Juan, Capital of Puerto Rico, she grew up in the town of “La Central” or “Hoyo Mula de Canóvanas”. She graduated from the Inter-American University, Magna Cum Laude, in June of 1989, with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. Four months later, she and her husband decided to move to Attleboro, Massachusetts. A year later, her husband bought a house in Warwick, Rhode Island. She has been living in Rhode Island for 21 years.  Lydia is a highly accomplished and dynamic performer. She presents traditional music, workshops and productions from Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
