NATIONAL ARTIST EXPRESSED HERSELF THROUGH HER CULTURE AND HERITAGE  BRINGING THE BEST  OF PUERTO RICO Lydia Perez, Performing Arts Lydia Perez – Born in San Juan, Capital of Puerto Rico, she grew up in the town of “La Central” or “Hoyo Mula de Canóvanas”. She graduated from the Inter-American University, Magna Cum Laude, in June of 1989, with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. Four months later, she and her husband decided to move to Attleboro, Massachusetts. A year later, her husband bought a house in Warwick, Rhode Island. She has been living in Rhode Island for 21 years.  Lydia is a highly accomplished and dynamic performer. She presents traditional music, workshops and productions from Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. In 1994, she and her husband founded Puertorriqueños Unidos, Inc., a non profit organization. EAST PROVIDENCE HERITAGE FEST 2008, CON LYDIA PEREZ Y YORUBA2

  Rumba    Plena East Providence: El festival de "EAST PROVIDENCE HERITAGE FEST 08", que se llevó a cabo en los previos del "Pierce Field & Stadium" en esta gran ciudad culminó con bombas y platinos. El fin de semana de Julio, 18, 19, 20, del 2008, East Providence se vistió de gala el 19 de julio con un calor de los demonios que encendió el Festival con bomba, Plena y Rumba. Yoruba 2 es un grupo irresistible. En la foto vemos a Lydia y Ray Washington. Ray estuvo tranquilo en la audiencia hasta que comenzó Yoruba2. Solicitó subir a la tarima y tocar tambor... Por supuesto que en el estrado del festival se encontraba Lydia y Yoruba2 que con su música y baile Afro-antillana puso a todos al rojo vivo. Su grupo puso el toque antillano que ameritaba el día.
