2010 Fellowship Exhibition The Artists Reception on February 12th was a fabulous event! 200 attendees enjoyed words of encouragement from Senator Walter Felag acknowledging the importance of the arts in Warren and throughout Rhode Island, a fantastic performance by Lydia Perez and her band Yoruba 2, great food and the company of amazing artists. And did we mention the gorgeous artwork in the gallery? People are also still talking about the wonderful Writers Night on February 19th, with about 90 attendees and captivating readings by RISCA's Fellowship Writers. If you have not yet seen the Fellowship Exhibition, this week is your last chance and we have two more events to entice you: Fellowship Film Night Thursday, February 25th from 7pm - 9pm The Fellowship Film Night will feature works by Film & Video Fellowship recipients Mike Stoltz and Lisa Young, as well as New Genres Fellowship Merit Award recipient Aaron Jungels, who also received a 2010 Project Grant award for his docume

Providence, Rhode Island: A medida que pasa el tiempo nos damos cuenta que crecemos como pueblo y nos ponemos mas activos en nuestras vida cotidiana. El año 2009 a pesar de la crisis económica y de la poca oportunidades que tenemos cuando se trata de buscar fondos para poder sustentar nuestras artes y cultura, nos vemos en la encrucijada de que hay muchas organizaciones que cada día aplica mas a las agencias del Gobierno, en este caso RISCA, y a fundaciones para el Artes, pero cada día recibimos menos. Esto se debe a la ardua competencia de organizaciones establecidas como instituciones del arte a mayores escalas. Sin embargo pequeñas organizaciones sucumbe y algunas hacen la competencia. Esta Organización no esta exenta de lo antes dicho y con poca entrada demuestra ser unas de las mas competente en el ambiente de Rhode Island y Nueva Inglaterra. El Programa que dirijo bajo(PRIAA),"Caribbean Island" y que llevo al pie de lucha, es una muestra de como empapamos al publico
