PLENA AND BOMBA WITH VIOLINS AND VIOLA

Providence, Rhode Island: On September 14, 2012, Yoruba2, Members and represented of Puerto Rican Institute for Arts and Advocacy, Inc., (PRIAA), were performs at Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts with students from Community Musicworks. The students were very involved and enthusiastic and learned different rhythms of Bomba and Plena Puertorriqueña. The surprise of the night was a joint performance that integrated Bomba and the classical instruments of the violin and the viola. PRIAA, CELEBRATE THE LATINO HERITAGE MONTH WITH BOMBA CLASSIC. I would like to thank Cloe Kline and Sebastian for inviting us to perform for the students.

Caribbean Arts, Bomba y Plena in Hartford Performs

Busy busy all days since August 21 until August 23, Workshops and Conference. Two Workshops at Conventional Center,  one at Maria Sánchez and other at MELS School. AMAZING . Yoruba2 of PRIAA presented a series of workshops focused on Afro-Puerto Rico "Bomba, Plena, and Comparsas de vejigantes from Loiza and Ponce" in the Hartford Performs Arts Integration Conference in Hartford Convention Center from 8/21/12 - 8/23/12.  8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. The students were teachers and administrator of  different school around Connecticut.  Sponsored by: Hartford Performs of the Greater Hartford Arts Council, Inc. — in Hartford, CT.
