PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND: Rubi Bella A. Espinosa, 8th grade students from the Highlander Charter School of Providence perform with Lydia and Yoruba 2 during "Expresion de Barrio #3 series" Reception Night. After only two 45-minutes Workshop and practice sessions, two days before the "Reception of Expresión de Barrio", these students were able to perform beautifully and chanel the "Bomba" spirit. They were eager to learn more about their heritage, as second and third generation Latinos. The event was a great collaboration of Providence CityArts, Highlander Charter School and the Puerto Rican Institute for the Arts and Advocacy, Inc. (PRIAA). Providence, Rhode Island: On September 14, 2012, Yoruba2, Members and represented of Puerto Rican Institute for Arts and Advocacy, Inc., (PRIAA), were performs at Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts with students from Community Musicworks. The students were very involved and enthusiastic and learned different rhythms of Bomba and Plena Puertorriqueña. The surprise of the night was a joint performance that integrated Bomba and the classical instruments of the violin and the viola. PRIAA, CELEBRATE THE LATINO HERITAGE MONTH WITH BOMBA CLASSIC.
