  A Vision of Reynaldo GuAracibo Rodriguez An amazing traveling exhibition by Puerto Rican artist Reynaldo Rodriguez. This exhibition explores the West African, the Caribbean and the Puerto Rican history of the BOMBA tradition on Chicago and others part of the United States, also each mural have this colorful exhibition features the art of the Artist Reynaldo "GuAracibo" Rodriguez accompanied by the sound and rhythm of Afro-Caribbean drums and dances of CityArts/Highlander's students group, directed by Lydia Perez.

The exhibition will bring 12 pieces from Reynaldo Rodriguez, in which he uses portraits from "Bomberos" in his community to represent various aspects of our Bomba music (drumming, singing, Cua, Maraca, etc). An important element of the exhibit will be the connection with Bomberos from Puerto Rico and the United States. Consequently, selected Bomberos from Puerto Rico and other states will provide context to these pieces by submitting letters describing their influences and their first experience in Bomba as well.

 Part of the exhibit will be presented in Collaboration with Providence CityArts/Highlander Gallery, and is sponsored by the Caribbean Arts Program of The Puerto Rican Institute for Art and Advocacy, Inc., of Rhode Island, The Rhode Island State Council for the Arts, Yoruba2 and Providence CityArts for Youth. FREE PUBLIC EVENT.

PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND: Rubi Bella A. Espinosa,  8th grade students  from the Highlander Charter School of Providence perform with Lydia and Yoruba 2 during "Expresion de Barrio #3 series" Reception Night.  After only two 45-minutes Workshop and practice sessions, two days before the "Reception of Expresión de Barrio",  these students were able to perform beautifully and chanel the "Bomba" spirit. They were eager to learn more about their heritage, as second and third generation Latinos. The event was a great collaboration of Providence CityArts, Highlander Charter School and the Puerto Rican Institute for the Arts and Advocacy, Inc. PLENA AND BOMBA WITH VIOLINS AND VIOLA

Providence, Rhode Island: On September 14, 2012, Yoruba2, Members and represented of Puerto Rican Institute for Arts and Advocacy, Inc., (PRIAA), were performs at Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts with students from Community Musicworks. The students were very involved and enthusiastic and learned different rhythms of Bomba and Plena Puertorriqueña. The surprise of the night was a joint performance that integrated Bomba and the classical instruments of the violin and the viola. PRIAA, CELEBRATE THE LATINO HERITAGE MONTH WITH BOMBA CLASSIC. I would like to thank Cloe Kline and Sebastian for inviting us to perform for the students.
